The iNUA Collection Wins IGTOA Service Excellence Award
The iNUA Collection has received the 2026 Service Excellence Award from the Irish Golf Tour Operators Association (IGTOA), recognising the group’s approach to guest satisfaction, employee development and its contribution to golf tourism in Ireland.
The award was announced at the annual IGTOA Gala Irish Golf Awards in Tralee, Co. Kerry, on 19 October 2026, where businesses and professionals from across Ireland’s golf tourism industry gathered to celebrate achievement within the sector.
For The iNUA Collection, the recognition reflects the work of hotel teams across its four- and five-star properties, supported by a consistent approach to guest feedback, service standards and professional development.
Supporting the People Behind the Service
The Collection’s approach to guest satisfaction is closely connected to its investment in employees.
Through the iNUA Academy, leadership development programmes and opportunities for colleagues to learn from one another, the group supports professional development at different stages of a hospitality career.
This investment has also been recognised through the Great Place to Work programme. The iNUA Collection has maintained Great Place to Work certification since 2022, with further recognition including:
- A place among Ireland’s Top 20 Best Workplaces in 2026
- Recognition as one of Ireland’s Best Workplaces in Hospitality in 2025 and 2026
- Recognition among Ireland’s Best Workplaces for Women in 2025 and 2026
The group’s overall workplace survey score also increased by six percentage points between 2025 and 2026.
For The iNUA Collection, supporting colleagues and improving guest satisfaction are closely related priorities, with training, leadership, and regular feedback contributing to the standards delivered across its hotels.
Working With Ireland’s Golf Tourism Industry
The IGTOA Service Excellence Award also acknowledges the Collection’s involvement in the wider Irish golf tourism sector.
Alongside its relationships with golf tour operators and industry partners, the iNUA Collection has supported initiatives aimed at developing Ireland’s appeal as a golf tourism destination.
In 2024 and 2025, Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Sligo hosted major golf tourism conferences in collaboration with industry partners, including IGTOA and Fáilte Ireland.
These events provided opportunities for golf tourism professionals to meet, exchange industry knowledge and develop relationships, while highlighting Sligo and the North West as part of Ireland’s wider golf tourism offering.
Recognition for Teams Across Ireland
Commenting on the award, Christian Schmelter, Group Director of Sales at The iNUA Collection, welcomed the recognition from the Irish golf tourism industry.

We are delighted to receive an IGTOA Service Excellence Award. The iNUA Hotel Collection’s customer excellence model is structured, measurable, people-centred and directly aligned with the needs of golf tourism and IGTOA tour operator partners.
