The iNUA Collection is launching Meatless March campaign across The Brasserie restaurants nationwide this month, with the goal of reducing our carbon footprint and increasing guest awareness. Guests can enjoy all vegetarian and vegan main courses at The Brasserie restaurants for €13.50, or two-course vegetarian or vegan meal for €19.99 through-out the month of March.
The simple idea behind The iNUA Collection’s Meatless March campaign is that with enough of us taking the small step to reduce the amount of days per month that we consume meat, we can collectively reduce our impact on the environment and improve our wellbeing.
The Meatless March campaign forms part of The iNUA Collection’s wider sustainability programme, Caring for You. In addition to actively reducing the environmental impact of our operations at The iNUA Collection, we are also conscious of our responsibility in engaging our guests and customers in our sustainability journey. From understanding the collective change we can create, and observing a growing request from our guests for vegetarian and vegan options, we are actively increasing our plant-based offerings in The Brasserie restaurants and our other dining venues across The iNUA Collection.
Meat is responsible for 14.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions, according to the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization, with some scientists saying the percentage is higher and more than the entire global transport sector combined. The Worldwatch Institute estimates that a staggering 70% of the world’s freshwater supplies goes towards agriculture, and a third of this to grow animal feed crops.
Meatless March runs until Friday 31 March 2023 in The Brasserie restaurants in The iNUA Collection’s Cork, Limerick, Athlone, Sligo, Kilkenny, Tullamore, and Louth locations. In addition to The iNUA Collection’s Hillgrove Hotel & Spa in Monaghan and Dubl!n One Hotel. €13.50 for one vegetarian or vegan main course, or €19.99 for a vegetarian or vegan two-course meal. Terms & Conditions apply.
